There have been a bunch of rapes in Oslo as of late. Significantly beyond the norm...

These rapes have been pretty violent and now they're telling women not to walk alone at night, don't wander around side streets blah blah...

This is just at a time when I have all this bottled-up nervous energy from not training Krav Maga for quite some time... I'm really gagging for a good fight... it's bad enough that I go around shadowboxing in public places now... and I am already fantasizing about luring the useless bastards into some dark corner and kicking the life out of their scrawny little balls...

Good thing I'm still in Tromsø.

Nope, no competitions. I don't want to have to deal with competitions either, to be honest...

We'll probably try to get some informal training in before the regular sessions start. That ought to help :)

Rapists

A serial rapists was just convicted in Sweden for 5 rapes (including aggravated rapes or attempted rapes) and 2 attempted murders.

He got 14 years (Maximum time limited sentence), this means he'll be out in about ten or so.

Unless he appeals and has his sentence dropped a few years. Which I could bet money on is what will happen.

After he was arrested he sold his house and cars to his family.

This means that he probably doesn't have to pay any reparations himself, and the tax payers may end up with the bill fro

The US isn't that much better - for a course I took ages ago, I read various cases where among other things, a judge acquitted a man, a "known pedophile", who had sexually molested a child because "the girl was behaving in a seductive manner" (and in that particular case, said girl was 5).

But at least we're not talking about places in the Middle East where even if the rapist is convicted, the woman is also convicted for adultery, even though the sex was against her will...
