Journal tuxette's Journal: Trip Report - Vienna Day Eight 3
Day Eight - 8th of April
Our last full day in Vienna. A very lazy last day...
Mmm...microbrew We started the day by doing some shopping. There was something I saw yesterday that I didn't buy, and after the "cooling period" I decided I still wanted it, so we had to go and get it. We also looked at some other things, as shopping is quite good in Vienna. All that eventually made us thirsty, so we ended up at Salm Bräu, a microbrewery near Lower Belvedere.
We ordered the ultimate Ring of Fat fantasy lunch - a big spread of all kinds of deep-fried schnitzel. Liver schnitzel. Turkey schnitzel. Wienerschnitzel of both veal and pork. Served with potatoes and rice. Salad would be extra *snort*
As for the beer... let's see. We started with the Märzen, and then started working our way through the menu.
We chose not to have dessert hehe...
Other than walk around the grounds of Belvedere and take silly pictures (can't be bothered to link to all the pictures - start here, we didn't do much the rest of the day. Oh yeah, we had some ice cream, and we also walked along the Danube Canal and saw some interesting critters...
We had to pack in the evening, and due to the heavy lunch, had a light dinner at Oh Pot Oh Pot (where we had soup the other Saturday)...
