turg's Journal: My own troll (warning)

I have my own troll now. He replies to my messages, posting as AC, with an apparently helpful link related to my message (e.g. book recomendation with Amazon.co.uk link) and signs the message "turg". But the link uses a redirect to send you to a goatse.cx-type site. The first couple of times I replied with a warning that I didn't post that message but now I'm going to ignore him.

I sometimes post as AC without logging in, but from here on, I'm not going to include links in such messages.

Your warning came about 30 seconds too late for me. Hopefully others won't be caught (FWIW, I didn't even noticed the sig until I went back to look at the link. Can't believe I got caught on a stupid amazon.com redirector)

Youch, thanks for the warning, I'll watch out for that.

Right now, I've got a couple of mod points, I'll try to mod down that AC whenever I see him (and still have them). Hopefully his IP will soon get banned (if he's got static IP, that is).

But what are you complaining for... don't you feel honoured that somebody has so little to do they feel the need to follow you around like a lost puppy.

Not complaining. Just figured I should give a once-and-for-all warning to others because I am going to stop giving warnings for individual occurences.
