This. At any time half the cars just set in the motor pool as spares and to spread the mileage. Replacing something that is using no gas should just get the cheapest total cost to own since it has the least materials and energy put into it. Also most locations don’t have chargers. This should be done on the basis of saving money and only if it actually does. Look at waste of money at LAPD when recently they sold all their electric BMWs that were almost unused. As expected of the administration that picks race and gender before looking at candidates for VP so as not to be racist. We don’t let logic and qualifications get in the way of picking what we know is the best choices for our future.

Yes and 20 gallons of explosives with "at least fifteen hazardous chemicals occurring in various amounts" or a bunch of acid is safe? I would feel safer with nuclear than electric if the batteries came from sony.

Also from the fifties concept cars, what happened to the turbine cars? I thought they gave up on them because of the wait for the engine to warm up, but with these hybrids that can start driving on electric would solve that. I would settle for a jet car since there is way I'll get a permit from the NRC.
