Expanding on Declan's sordid history.... I knew Declan personally as we attended high school (Dieruff High School, Allentown, PA) together. Graduated same year (1988), and unfortunately were in all of the same classes together for 4 years so I got to know him quite well. I recall one incident in particular when he invited me and a few of my friends to his house. Upon arriving, we went to the basement which was filled with cutting edge (at the time) computers and electronics. He told to take as much as we wanted as the Allentown Police suspected he had stolen it (which he told us he did) and he had to get rid of it fast. This is no BS, I thought he was kidding at the time, but he was serious. You should've seen the surveillance setup in his house. Closed circuit cameras for every room of the house. As for the wife beatin', I'm really surprised. I remember him as being quite small and 'wimpy' for lack of a better word.) Life is funny I guess.
