Sparsely populated states already have the Senate to boost their power relative to the more populous states. They don't need the additional power provided by the electoral college in presidential elections. The all-or-nothing approach nullifies the voice of the minority (both Republican and Democrat) in the 34 states with solid majorities. That is why it is wrong.
