Nope, which is one of my primary complaints with the iPhones. Such simple functionality to add, yet they insist on confining users to internal storage and forcing them to upgrade/deal with it if they run out of space. In fact, ALL of their handheld products revolve around successive models having larger storage capacities without capability for expansion. It's a marketing ploy, pure and simple.

Um...millions of OS X and iOS users are using Darwin as their main OS, as it is the foundation for those operating systems.

Foundation != the OS itself. Yes, OS X is built around a Darwin core, but it adds so much extra and *COMPLETELY NON-UNIXY* functionality on top of that, that it is, for the average user, a different operating system for all intensive porpoises. Same way that Android is based around Linux, yet most Android phone users never even see a hint of Linux in their day-to-day use of their phone. I doubt they'd even know what Linux was. Just like your standard Apple fan wouldn't know what Darwin was or why it was relevant.

It's a horrible allergy/condition to have. She pretty much has to avoid every major (or minor) brand of everything, since if it was even packaged in a factory where wheat gluten was handled, she will get horribly sick. Glad that this site acknowledges the severity of this allergy, since major food packagers don't seem to.

Why Anonymous Can't Take Down Amazon.com 392

suraj.sun writes "The website-attacking group 'Anonymous' tried and failed to take down Amazon.com on Thursday. The group's vengeance horde quickly found out something techies have known for years: Amazon, which has built one of the world's most invincible websites, is almost impossible to crash.... Anonymous quickly figured that out. Less than an hour after setting its sights on Amazon, the group's organizers called off the attempt. 'We don't have enough forces,' they tweeted."
