Journal Journal: Cringley - Dec. 5 2002

Cringley's article today (12/5/2002) is really worth a read. People expect to put up a website and BANG they're famous. As far as marketing is concerned, the internet is nothing more than another outlet (although very far reaching and with a relatively low barrier to entry) like radio/television/newsprint. You need to exploit it to make it a useful tool, not simply participate. The only thing that's ever heard above the din of the internet is the truly innovative and disruptive exploitation of it.
