Sci-fi and musical doesn't mix well, that episode was an abomination. It's called "jumping the shark". It was every bit as bad as Fonzie water skiing and jumping over a shark. Just not good writing, not a good idea, not good anything. Leave the musicals to the kids in theater class. Star Trek used to be good Sci-Fi, but that musical episode was anything but. If there were no better story lines available, I'd be very surprised. But the franchise was pandering to who?? Not people who are actually interested in Sci-Fi, that's for sure, it alienated them.
It could have been worse, it could have been the Doom Patrol musical episode...

Some CPU's are already sold intentionally degraded. Sometimes the chip maker needs to shift more volume of a lower tier part rather than absolute margin and intentionally disables features to sell to that market. Often there is not as many defects as you may think, especially on a mature process.

If you have fTPM on an AMD BIOS or IPTT on an Intel BIOS that is Firmware TPM 2.0 and can simply be enabled. Discrete TPM 2.0 adapters are available for some boards. However of course these onerous requirements are going to contribute to landfill as you also need 2nd gen Ryzen or an 8th gen Intel CPU. The leaked Windows 11 beta can be tricked into installing by deleting some dll from the ISO, but I doubt that will hold true for the release.

I don't think pre-scanning happens as much these days. The scanners themselves have GPS in them so if they are not near the delivery location it will refuse to scan.

Once you whack it on the head with a sledgehammer and disable all the rubbish app stuff, Windy 10 is ok.
Add Classic Shell / Classic Start (new open source name)
Use Winaero Tweaker.
Use Disable Win Tracking.
Add Aero Glass for Windows 8 (if that is your thing, needs a donation for no nag).
Add old calculator.
Give paint 3d the heave ho.
Add the old windows picture viewer.
Add back all the old sound schemes (some guy on deviantart has done this).
