I'm all for reducing co2 emissions, but I'm not so sure about this. First it seems too authoritarian, I'd rather see ev be the preferred choice and winning in the marketplace, not forcing it with a ban on gas cars. Isn't this where all socialist fail with trying to have a planned economy, ignoring incentives and human behavior?

Won't people just go across state lines to buy a gas car?
What about the lost tax revenue from all the gas stations, mechanics and dealerships, how much are we talking?
What about the gas tax, which I think is a fairly good way to pay for roads. As far as taxes go, it makes some sense, where will it come from?
How much more infrastructure will we need to have a charging station at every house?
How much will electricity go up in cost?
Yes, I know everyone won't switch over at once, but I'd like to see the projected model.
California has rolling blackout in the summertime, very high taxes, failing school systems, etc and people are leaving the state.

I need more convincing if we're gonna follow what they do.

This bill sounds like a typical elitist progressive virtue signal with no regard with how it will impact the average person in Massachusetts and will actually be worse for the environment.
