Actually, though I am equally baffled by the recent exclusion of the firewire cables with all the iPods, I noticed that the 20GB monochrome iPod still comes with one.
It isn't easy being the parent of a six-year-old. However, it's a pretty small price to pay for having somebody around the house who understands computers.
