Airlines that predominately do short flights (like Hawaiian does) would find it much easier to be on time than an airline that runs longer duration filghts.

I bet the hackers are going to love to play around with this. Just imagine if the C&C frequency can be hacked...

I have always had problems with Firefox streaming my 20 cameras through Zoneminder from my server. Invariably the whole machine would lock up within 2-3 minutes because Firefox was using up 90%+ of my 4gb RAM. I have just installed Firefox 7.0a2 and I have been streaming the cameras now for about 20 mins and Firefox is only using up 240mb. If this is any indication of where they are heading, then I think they have cured one of Firefox's largest issues - memory hogging.

I haven't used it yet but just looking at the Known Issues in the release notes doesn't give me much confidence. I don't recall seeing this many issues with the previous final releases - is this amount of bugs normal?

On Ubuntu 10.04.1 x86-64, Nvidia GeForce 8500GT, 4gb RAM, Core2Due E7400 I get:

Firefox 4.0b6pre: 52fps
Firefox 3.6.10pre: 47fps


Certainly has no problems on Linux.

As an Australian living overseas, I couldn't agree with you more. I was living in another "first world" country for 3 years and am now living in a "3rd world" country for about 3 years. Compared to either of these two, Australia is by far and away the best place to live with minimal crime, racism, corruption and social disharmony. I agree, Australia is not perfect, but it would be quite hard to find a better place to live.

You could also say the same about computer OSes... But similarly Microsoft used their muscle to force Dell, HP etc to only ship PCs with Windows. Maybe Microsoft is getting some of their own medicine back.
