This was not a comment about maintenance at all. I'm really good at what I do, I usually work on the new stuff and let others take the boring production support. This wasn't about me but him. Did I say by my definition? No, I asked him to be honest with himself - it can be a tough thing to do. If he moved over to project management because he wasn't good enough, he definitely shouldn't come back for his own good and for the good of others. Get off your high horse and there is no need for language like that.

Really be honest. Were you really good at it? I've worked with far too many people that weren't that good at programming. When they left to do something else it was good for them and everyone. So if you became a project manager because you weren't great a programming I would stay away. If you were really good at it, picking up a new language shouldn't be a problem.

Comment Re:What people don't know about Global Warming (Score 0) 712

Well thats not the definition of Global Warming that would be the defintion of Global Temperature Shifting or something. Global warming is the gradual increase of the earth's temperature in the lower atmosphere due to the addition of greenhouse gases into our atmosphere. I am not stating global warming is fact just the commonly accepted definition.
