Please watch the juvenile language, that just decreases the quality and reputation of the site. Open source is great, but it doesn't increase security. Yes, flaws can be found by the good guys and they will notify the creator, but the bad guys can find it too, and they won't tell anyone. The security linux enjoys is because it is 1% market share, so bad guys don't care about it. There are flaws in both open source and closed code, but I would say that closed code is better for security.
