That doesn't help. Your ISP can still read all the DNS requests from your server to the root servers.

Completely agree. Consider this scenario: "my wife and I were talking about taking the dog to the vet, then I picked up the newspaper from the kitchen table and there was an ad for dog food! This is absolute proof that the NYT has my house bugged!!!"

So you've never used a computer with more than one disk? Let alone more than one controller, each with multiple disks? Or drivers for devices other than hard drives?

Agreed on the ignoring syntax errors part: I used to have a simple programming task that candidates were too submit with their application. I never tried to run any of the code, so syntax errors didn't detract too much. I was looking for the general method of approach and style.

A surge when powering on: definitely. Can it damage hardware: certainly. More power to boot than sit idle overnight: not even remotely close. My Haswell desktop uses 25W at idle and averages 40W during a 30sec boot. Boot power: 0.33 Whr 8hr idle: 200 Whr Difference is: 600 times more power to sit idle over night.

As we should all expect, the summary is wrong. The article states that the Al battery can "extend" the range of the car by 1600km... and note that they're careful to say it can't drive a car 1600km, you still have to have a Li-ion battery too.
