Got mod'd down for making a post questioning the existence of both BSD and Linux as Open Source platforms.

I have never got as many responses though and was grateful for the attempts at 'splaining to me why.

I was mod'd down (meta probably) as redundant. I was replying to a post (which seem endless) about a new BSD book. If my reply was redundant then the "News Item" itself was out-of-control redundant.
