If the quick fixes in your program didnt hold up in the long run, it is because: 1.the fix just wasnt good enough. 2.the requirements for the program changed. What you should do is ask yourself how many programmers do write software that is not rock solid, release it early, with bugs, and the product gets accepted, refined polished etc... Just because a quick fix isnt good for the long run doesnt mean it cannot be fixed again and again over the span of time.
