Comment Good idea ? Way around + combo trick (Score 1) 171

Sound a bad idea if the White House (not this one, the other one) does not offer an alternative to provide fast access to internet in any place of say Siberia. People will use it anyway and ignore the law as long as the authorities also get an access too :P Usual way when the far far away capital takes decisions that offers no other alternatives ... Another trick for them would be to use on top of Starlink a VPN with exit in RU : perfectly complying with the law "when required" :D #next

Comment Right ! (Score 2) 90

It is always bugging to see that in the US people most people do not use the right units. Say F (which stands for Fahrad and not fahrenheit) instead of F. Or C (which stands for Coulomb and not Celcius) instead of C. If you don't put the degree sign it is not a degree (aka a scale with top reference and bottom reference) mesurement unit but an absolute mesurement value based on this unit #KISS. And when people put Kg, instead of kg, this is again the same m*ss that keeps on. K stands for Kelvin the standard mesure of temperature and it is not a degree. Whereas the lower case k stands for kilo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?... "We do ... we do ..."

Converting a SI unit mesurement to a an intermediate customary unit that is also based on SI to convert it back to the SI unit and then rounding it :D

Comment Confidence crisis in aviation ? (Score 1) 85

Why is Boeing risking a confidence crisis for the whole aviation ? Max should have gone a complete certification process under a new decicated type. Only this would have make people feel comfortable flying it. I will wait couple of years before flying on bord of a Max, and thanks to Covid, not flying is now an option. If I need to fly anyway I will avoid any company that has any active Max : #KISS Sad that Boeing is imposing such a burden on all of us, simply because they are not able to redo things from scratch in a clean way. Good luck to those willing to fly. I do sincerelly hope that everything will be fine and that we do not find another corner case that Boeing has forgot to tell to the public (and to the pilot)...

Comment Regular oven are 32A in Europe but ... (Score 0) 234

To drive over 16A, nowaday people in Europe tend to use CEI 60309 plug (aka "the RV plug") as a plug. It exists in multiple variants (phase & rating). At home, there tend to use legacy/dedicated solution (direct attach, dedicated plug type, etc), for the sole use that require over 16A : the kitchen oven. And FYI instead of Perilex, France used NF C 61-315, they exist in 1 and 3 phases and are rated up to 32A. AFNOR (the one writting NFs) now recommand to use direct attach instead for oven powering. For cars, CCS (Combo AC/DC charger) is preffered. Whereas for other application (including pro kitchen), CEI 60309 rulez. Example of a NF C 61-315 3 phases 32A : https://www.rexel.fr/frx/Cat%C...
