D-Link does one better.
Not only does the DES-1228 (cheap web-managed switch) web interface not function properly with Firefox 3.0 (e.g. the VLAN settings), the switch will outright crash (i.e. stop switching traffic, even after a reboot) if configured using FF3.0 instead of, say, FF1.5 (which works fine).
We even ended up sending one back for a warranty replacement when it stopped working after one reset too many (thankfully the warranty service program is good).
Yay! I just got a Gmail invite from a guy on irc, this is wonderful!
Honestly, Gmail seems really nice, I especially like the keyboard shortcuts and the labels, the whole thing seems like a real email program, but it's a webmail!
What are your feelings about Gmail? And please don't moan for invites, I haven't got any yet!
Update: 6 extra gmail invitations, first 6 replies are awarded
Yesterday (2004-08-24) I got mod points again. I really wonder what this is about...
Do you get mod this often?
Update 2004-08-28:
Whaddya know, mod again, I'd better get used to this...
Update 2004-09-3:
Mod again yesterday, I guess this is how the thing goes... I think I'll won't post any more updates on mod points
I've been a registered user for a few years (though I've posted relatively rarely but have started being more active) and have never before got mod points (actually I didn't know they were just "handed out"). But in the past week I've got moderator acces two times. Weird?
The reason might be that my post got "+4, Interesting" and my karma went to positive from neutral.
It seems intuitively obvious to me, which means that it might be wrong. -- Chris Torek
