This Science "Alert" is nearly three years old. How does this make the the front page?

Elmo has a great solution to the pronoun problem when Elmo talks to people on Elmo's show. Ahead of his time, that guy, although I read that it was because pronouns are an unnecessary complication for early language development. There's a metaphor in here somewhere but I can't put my finger on it.

In Arkansas acts passed by the legislature that don't declare an "emergency" take effect 90 days after the legislative session ends (usually in April) rather than immediately. This was designed to give time for a popular referendum to repeal legislative acts before they become law. Yes, the "emergency" clauses can get pretty comical.
