Let me start by saying I am a Roman Catholic by birth not by choice, and I do not practice my religion, however I do believe in God. I am sure most of us on SlashDot think that human cloning is really COOL, but I don't think anyone of us has really stop to study all the consequences of this. Let me acknowledge that I think the benefits of cloning human organs is great and perhaps should be allowed, however cloning a human being I think is another story. We leave in a world full of prejudice towards African Americans, Browns, Yellows, Hispanics, Asians, Women, the Disable, and even GEEKS (I am in the Hispanic - Brown - GEEK classification). By allowing human cloning we are one more layer of prejudice into the system. Now people not only be segregated by color, race, culture, sex, but also by the way they were procreated. Yes we will save countless lives, but really would you like to leave forever. Death to some extent is the well deserve reward after good years of service. Not to mention the over-population problem that cloning will generate. Will there be space left for us to leave. Will there be room for all of us. Am I alone here?
