This isn't that fast at all. I agree with offline readers as well, it helps when the net isn't working. Oh well.
This wasn't that good of news to me.
If it didn't record video and just information like speed, it would be great. We don't need this to help parent our kids, parents need to just give teens rules and tell them speeding is a bad idea, and going into areas you don't know is a bad idea.
There is a product that doesn't record video but only GPS tracks locations and alerts when a teen leaves restricted areas that parents allow/disallow, it texts or e-mails the parents/gaurdians if this happens. It costs about $199.99. The name escapes me but it is on the market and way better than giving insurance companies unrestricted access to recorded video, no matter if it's an accident or not and they keep the information. We don't need Big Brother creeping in any further than it has. Tin foil hats please!
I'm really disappointed with this new re-design of eBay, it doesn't look real different but it isn't any better designed. I also dislike the text disappearing issues and poor Javascript.
They need to listen to the user feedback and either allow a choice between the old and new design or completely re-do it sometime in the near future. Makes no sense to keep a design most users don't like. Is it gonna stop people from using their site? At this point it doesn't look like it, since eBay is one of the largest auction sites. Some people may leave to find a better auction site. I doubt eBay is going to change the design or even allow a choice. It might be smart to listen to older members voicing their distaste, if not, they're just another big company who only cares to raise their market shares and so forth.
I agree that Tasering somebody because they didn't comply is plain bullshit. Makes no sense, instead of taking 2 more minutes to tell them to calm down and relax, instead of getting upset and tasering somebody for not following directions.
But if the officer suspects the person is about to pull something out that he didn't ask the person to take out, he should tase them. If the officer's life is in immediate danger and he suspects something immediate of happening, he has a limited time to react and a gun seems pretty safe to me. We don't want officers to die everyday, do we?
I have Muscular Dystrophy and I can barely use anything but my hands and that's limited in of itself. This only works for those who have good use of limps, I guess? Depends how much pressure it takes to push down/use strength. I wish it could help me. I just don't see me being able to use it.
Oh well. COME ON GENE THERAPY!!!!
ELF hasn't committed any criminal acts that have been noteworthy as of late. Not that any of them were any good, although the entire car lot destruction of cars and setting them ablaze is pretty cool.
But an AM tower destruction? Do people listen to AM other than church sycophants and crazies or to hear traffic directions/problems. Seems kind of irrelevant other than the waste of money it will cost to bring those towers back up. ELF is just an obnoxious bunch of cowards, radio signals really don't cause that much problems for anyone. Besides those who actually are at the station, but it couldn't hurt that many people. And really, home phones and intercoms? hahahaha, that's a lame excuse.
-=Right after the AM tower fell=-
ELF member #1: Uh, so what's our reason for downing this tower anyway?
ELF member #2: Radio waves cause cancer. Oh and it harms animals. Definitely animals.
ELF member #1: Sounds good, what else though? We need something to close our argument.
ELF member #3: It disrupts home phones and.. and... intercoms! Intercoms are really important!
ELF member #1: Perfect! I'm writing this to all news stations. Hopefully it gets noticed by a Slashdotter.
That's definitely how it ended. That's how those idiots figured out what to say reasons were for taking down an AM tower, fucking retards.
The new Star Wars: The Old Republic will destroy WoW, even with WoW's new expansion 'Cataclysm' coming out. Blizzard doesn't have a chance, people would rather play a kick-ass Sith Warrior or Bounty Hunter and kill innocent Jedi than what WoW offers. Crappy quests that you do the same of, just different variations; Collect 20 Wolf Fangs, Collect 10 Raptor Eggs, blah blah blah.
Plus in World of Warcraft you get a new expansion and always are leveling, never getting a chance to enjoy all the content. Maybe a year and you still haven't done everything but a new expansion comes out, so you miss that dungeon or instance. It gets tiresome. I was pissed when Burning Crusade came out, I had been 60 for a few months and all of a sudden I need to level up, gain more rep, do more grind quests. It's not even fun, you don't have 'fun' grinding quests. I only ever had fun doing high level raids and PvP.
I hope SW:TOR destroys Blizzard's precious money-making addictive social life destroying game. So for anyone waiting for a new, refreshing MMO that actually has real voice actors and not terrible voice-overs, wait for 2010 and check out Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Bye-bye World of Shitcraft!
I'll watch it now. I can't seem to sleep so maybe this will be good to watch and learn.
It's cool, I'm sure most of the times people don't understand me at first but then learn I'm a lot different.
I've been learning much more about America's corruption problem. It's really rampant all over.
Thanks for the movie.
Well first of all I never said I was smarter than anyone. That was my opinion and it doesn't have to be correct.
You can assume all you want that I'm some kind of idiot, it's just the information I learned. I feel he is a dictator and wants to be just like Fidel Castro. You have your own opinions just like I do.
So your opinion is that the CIA is trying to destroy Venezuela? What's their motive? I also never said they're the only ones spewing propaganda, I know America has it's own propaganda.
Any chance you can get me a link to that documentary? If not I'll go try to find it. I'd be happy to learn more and perhaps get the entire view. Now was this coup d'etat purported by the CIA?
Really, those of you who are trying to defend Hugo Chavez and Venezuela as "better than America" get a real argument please. Hugo Chavez is the epitome of ridiculous power hungry dictators. He thinks Nintendo is a bad thing for promoting individualism? That's the first sign of a dictator who is trying to control every aspect of his citizen's lives.
If anything he should be outlawing guns and making those illegal. If there's anything that promotes violence it's the guns that cause the violence. Or outlaw the gangs and cartels that cause ALL of the violence, kidnappings, and extortions. Come on, any of you who defend him. Are you serious? "He was democratically elected." Lol, really? He instills fear in his citizens to control them, bans certain items to control them but no he was "democratically elected" if that even means anything, which it doesn't. It means nothing, it just means his propaganda machine worked and he convinced people to elect him. Any of those people who supposedly 'voted' for him are brainwashed individuals who think he's some kind of saint with his God complex.
"The people doing this are the United Socialist Party. Hugo Chavez is a champion of workers' rights, a bane to American-style capitalist corporations, heavily influenced by Marx, and a socialist to the core.
He is also the democratically elected leader of his country."
He's also the moron who called George W. Bush the 'devil' which was pretty funny when he said it, because it made him seem delusional and on the verge of sociopathic.
I saw a post that this is kind of similar to Perez Hilton is so true, really is. I mean who the hell gets this upset and sues someone for some silly images with ms.paint words on top.
Get real lady, like you're the only person who's ever been insulted online, on a forum or some commenting section. If she somehow lost work over a blog, then she was never really getting work in the first place, right? Who was employing her? Paris Hilton? Give me a break.
Plus, who the hell really gets that upset over some things that someone said online? Liskulallalaal who? looooool.
I'm 22 and was taught cursive in grade school but since I have Muscular Dystrophy, it got hard to write and made my hand fatique. So by the suggestions of teachers and my parents - I started to bring a recorder to school and instead of writing notes I just went over the tape and studied that. This was just before middle school. I started on computers at age 12 or 6th grade.
By middle school I was doing all my homework on my laptop or home computer. In High School I couldn't read handwriting for my life, I did all my homework on a laptop. Same with essays, and tests. I would just do "1. a b or c" choose one from 1-50 or so. It was faster, quicker and kept my hands from cramping since I type at around 100 wpm.
My hands are basically the only things I can still use, which is fine by me. I'm just glad computers exist. Handwriting going the way of the horse isn't a real problem. Let it go.
Of course, I could believe Russia would do something like that.
It is reasonable for Russia to be worried about security since with Skype they can't track it properly.
But to stop letting people use Skype or totally disable it because of profits to phone companies is just plain stupid.
Skype is wonderful for people who can't afford the prices of phones and international/national fees. I don't pay for a single phone bill, my parents put Skype on their computers and same with my friends/siblings. When we want to call, we just log onto our laptop/desktop, press Call and viola. It's a wonderful piece of technology, really is.
I see their problem with security. Terrorists could use this on laptops and really not be tracked. Except you need Internet and with Internet you can be tracked.
Russia, just track laptops. I'm sure you can do it.
