I attend Embry-Riddle as an Aerospace Engineer and all the programs i have needed are hosted through the citrix client so i can access them from my linux machine at my dorm. I save it all to a shared HDD on their sever and its there no matter what kind of machine i use.. it works suprisingly well. As for normal internet use, the internet is not the fastest but it works fine on my computer, so far no troubles. By the way i use Ubuntu 9.04.
