Have you noticed how nobody hardly ever asks a doctor in the family to look at his/her bunion, because they know the doctor would just say no
Hmmm, actually I have to disagree with that. An immediate family member of mine is a doctor, and so not only does she end up playing the role of the local doctor but also ends up prescribing my immediate family whatever medicine they 'need'. In addition, her non-doctor friends are always calling her up to get second opinions on whatever disease they or their children have (or think they have).
At one stage even friends at uni started to ask me to get medical certificates for them.
