There's a disconnect here, and everywhere else in the job market.
How is it possible, given hiring managers' paranoid obsession with finding the absolute best candidate alive, and vindictively firing everyone else, that a high profile company can "botch" anything, much less an unremarkable mobile app?
Easy.
- Don't listen to your engineers
- Set unrealistic time lines
- Provide insufficient resources
- Profit! (or not, as the case may be...)
