One of the best cables on the market is Mogami Cable
This cable is used by many in the audio profession. Every studio I've ever been to has used Mogami cable. All of my stereo equipment uses Mogami, as well as my car. ;) It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. Personally I didn't believe that the cable could make that much of a difference, but I was happily proven wrong.
As for Monster Cable, Mogami cable will beat the pants off of Monster any day.
