The man comes around, far too soon. Such a compelling man - even suffering from terminal illness he performed some of the most powerful music I've ever heard. If you haven't listened to American IV and "Hurt" in particular, go get it now.

Truly an American icon. He will be missed. The good news: he's with June again.

    To the man in black. I had a nagging intuitive sense that he wouldn't last long after the death of his loving wife who helped him through so many things. I know he had diabetes, but it's equally likely he died of a broken heart.

    "Hurt" is astonishing, as is the cover of U2's "One". My sweetie just lent me his collection of Cash CDs. What I so admire about Cash is that he battled so many personal demons and expressed it through his music. What I found so utterly amazing about the man is that he was considere
