This ain't Stern we're talking about. I donated. You should too!

Among other things, I love how Dean has turned the primary system on its head with a massive grassroots program seven months in advance. No more are those of us in the populous states subject to the whims of a few Iowa and New Hampshire voters! (Not quite .. but it still has the potential to be much, much better than 2000 when there were only 2 candidates by the time CA had its primary.)

TNR comment of interest: [A]bout half of that money had come in the last week, following a performance on NBC's "Meet the Press" that most political observers (this writer included) deemed abysmal. Who watches Meet the Press anyway but a bunch of Beltway insiders? The substance of this campaign is what is pulling the donations in.

Update: Over $800K today. Washington Post is impressed.

    He just hit almost $520K in donations today, online, without the help of corrupt corporations, cronyism, nepotism, or $2,000-a-plate dinners.
