the corporations currently own our government which equates to fascism. I totally agree but the government needs some honest brokers and stop getting paid from corporations and actually act like the people are their bosses instead of the corporations.

about time but what did you expect when you put a former verizon executive in charge.

once the robots come they will replace everybody. everyone's job in a corporation can be replaced. just because you are a senior manager doesn't mean your job is safe. The robots will build better robots and they will eventually not need humans. AI is a very dangerous slipper slope.

Maybe congress hasn't acted because the people they represent what a long and healthy life. Gates go suck an egg. who is he to tell us how how we should live or get power. He should be in jail from having an illegal monopoly.

the only computer I have loaded with the windows crap is at work. Using Linux on all my other computers. So now they come up with more reasons for corporations to spend more money so they get rid of more employees.

One sure way to save is stop spending money on software and use nothing but free open source.

What computer science students get coming out of school is appalling. The american way is to lose all sense of morality and don't care what kind of quality to get the job done. I tell every college student I know not get into computers. It isn't rewarding and fun like it use to be when it was starting out. It is cut throat and no once cares about doing anything properly. If you can talk out of your arse and act like you know what you are talking about you can go far no matter even though the actual work you do gets fixed by people who know what they are doing. If it wasn't for Linux I would not be in the industry.

I buy all my new laptops from system76. Still have a netbook from 2010 that still works and surfs the web just fine. It even runs a virtualbox with windows just fine. Who cares linux has already won. IBM had to buy redhat to stay relevant. System 76 systems are just as good looking at Apples IMO.

att is doing the same thing. thee have even more employees like under 300,000 and that was before the time-warner merger.

both companies senior management are psycho. why they hire so many employees and don't make use of the ones they have is ridiculous. I guess they get their jollies hiring so many people just to let them go later. pretty sick way to run a company.
