It'd be a small miracle if no other security issues have been found since the release of iOS 4. The fact that the jailbreak exploit is the only thing that's being fixed suggests that Apple values retaining control over their device higher than fixing other security issues.

Come on, after the first couple of tests the destructive potential of nuclear weapons was perfectly understood. And I don't have a problem with the US telling Iran they shouldn't develop nuclear weapons. But I do have a problem with them doing it while they have been storing nuclear weapons in Europe, given the nuke to Israel and retain the worlds' second largest nuclear weapons stockpile.

However, a recently published review of the iPad starts to clear up these doubts. To begin with, the iPad is packing some real quality gear under the hood. Even though the in-house-designed 1GHz A4 chip got little official comment from Apple, the touch screen's instantaneous responses prove that it is outstandingly fast. Furthermore, the iPad runs iPhone OS 3.2, and is currently the only device that runs this version of the operating system. iPad's graphics capabilities come from a PowerVR SGX GPU, similar to the one found in the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch. It can render about 28 million polygons/second, which is more powerful than the Qualcomm Snapdragon found in devices like the HTC HD2. Also, iPad's extraordinary battery life is not just a myth. According to the lab tests, the battery netted a respectable 9 hours and 25 minutes, very close to Apple's claims of 10 hours."

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch. Maybe it's free to _you_, but someone is paying, in this case someone with a good old-fashioned newspaper subscription. Google doesn't have correspondents around the world, they just aggregate news form sources who do. Currently, these sources are being paid by their subscribers but subscriber numbers are falling.

No, not the documentation for the highly skilled technical people, but the documentation from beginner to apprentice. A two-part series by Carla Schroeder lists bad documentation as 'Linux Bug #1' and advises users to use Google as the documentation. We've discussed before some of open source's documentation being out of date. Is it really as bad as these blogs paint it? Has it come down to using Google before a man page?"
Herschel Spectroscopy of Future Supernova 21

These include observations of VYCMa, a star 50 times as massive as the sun and soon to become a supernova, as well as a nearby galaxy, more distant colliding starburst galaxies and a comet in our own solar system. The spectra show more lines than have ever been seen in these objects in the far-infrared and will allow astronomers to work out the detailed chemistry and physics behind star and planet formation as well as the last stages of stellar evolution before VYCMa's eventual collapse into a supernova. It was apparently allowed but not endorsed by the director of the facility, and used a jury-rigged signal source on what will now be known as the 'coolest iPhone in the world.' Here's an idea. Don't read the new books. Just don't buy them. Maybe some people enjoy them, fine for them. Maybe they're crap, maybe they're not. But if the existence of a new trilogy detriments your enjoyment of the old series, that's on you.
