Why is CO2 such a problem? It's been much higher in the past and besides, it can be easily solved with carbon sinks (trees). Meanwhile, the real environmental threats are French nuclear waste (going to Russia and Africa and the ocean), European trash (also going to Africa), genetically modified organisms, pesticides, and particulate pollution (China). When is China going to be held accountable?
