Agreement here... My Dad (a newbie to the technical side of computers), wanted to get into Linux, so I helped him install a Caldera distro. The thought that came to mind was " this is a linux install? ". Not as customizable as I might have liked, but definitely easy. Now, (two months later) he's nearly graduated from WA (Windoze Anonymous) and is using Linux exclusively at his business. Impressive - from a usability standpoint. I'll grant that this does not imply technical excellence, but it is distros like this that will help Linux to acheive real penetration. Also, it should be noted, that my Dad is a very intelligent person, but his "geek quotient" is not high, so the rapidity of his transition sure raised my eyebrows.
