It'll only be in places like NY, NJ, CA, maybe WA. Won't affect most of the country, and those grandfathered in firearms will just go up in value and stick around forever (pesky constitution and it's rules on "takings").

In the meantime, most of the lower 48 will have nothing to do with legislation forcing this, and congress will of course do nothing at the federal level.

So, one gets to choose between having autonomy over their body or access to firearms when choosing where to live.

As an IT professional who is not necessarily a programmer, but someone who has written some (probably horrible) code, I would appreciate a getting really good at the basics online course. I've been a sysadmin who specialized in Identity Management and also Security, but missed a few of the coding building blocks along the way. It'd be nice if I could have conversations with our developers having a few of those blocks filled in.

Comment Combination of crappy movies and rest of audience (Score 1) 795

I find almost every time I go to a movie at the theater nowadays, the other members of the audience annoy the crap out of me. Between the teenagers opening up the emergency exits to let their friends in free of charge, the people who don't turn off their cell phones, and the idiots that shout out obscenities, etc. I find the movie going experience to be more stressful than entertaining. The worst was about a 15 year old kid that decided to impress his hoodlum buddies by throwing a large cup worth of softdrink on the audience. Free refills, he wasn't out more than a walk to the refreshment stand.
