Well, I'm human, and I don't want myself or my passengers to be injured or killed by AI that is marginally better than what some self-interested corporation considers a mid-tier driver. For me to seriously consider adopting, I'd need to see that the version of the AI being proposed is demonstrably better than my own inflated opinion of my abilities. Becoming involved in a collision I could easily avoid is an automatic disqualifier. It is a numbers game, and the numbers that matter most to me are me and my passengers.
