spent a good majority of salaried work time discussing this with other "geeks" - personally, I was insulted. First off, Keanu Reeves (who, it was admitted, "wasn't very bright") as the savior of the world?
Second, the special effects were nice (good job on those special effects, geeks!), and okay, maybe it was kind of neat seeing some interesting ideas watered down, prettied up, and presented to the masses in something they could understand. But geez, any self-respecting geek has already read Neuromancer, Snow Crash, and most things by Philip K. Dick, right? Surely I wasn't the only one expecting something more from this movie - it was a sore disappointment.
