Nerds Still More Likely To Get Bullied 480

trashbird1240 writes "Reports on a recent meta-analysis of bullies and victims found that bullies and victims have similar personality traits, but that bullies tend to do poorly in school, as opposed to those who get bullied. Both bullies and victims are poor social problem solvers, but they resort to different tactics to handle their social ineptitude. To me this represents a huge leap forward in understanding nerd psychology."

Thanks,

Even if their backups hold my information forever, at least I'm not adding to it. The primary reason I left was because I was spending too much time looking at all my "friends" incredibly inane status updates and pictures. The vast majority of my "friends" never contacted me and of those who were genuinely my friends, I already have their email/phone number/see them regularly anyway.

It's been day two and I'm even more convinced it was the right thing :)

After deliberating for the last few months, I have just deleted my facebook account.

It feels very liberating. I'm looking forward to all the free time I will have. Looking at all the crap that your "friends" post is such a waste of time.

Yay :)

If it was me, I would go with the fun and interesting job.

I'm content with living within my means and having a modest lifestyle. Money isn't as important at the moment because I'm still living at home. I guess it depends on your values/plans for the future.

I desperately crave some mental stimulation or challenge from my work rather than the endless SOE installs and fixing the same IT support issues day in, day out.

All the best.
