Comment only because I have to (Score 1) 65

People who make storage media don't seem to study and test real-world usage. I hated CDs very shortly after they were introduced. You want me to store a humongous 650MB of data on something that can can be corrupted with a little scratch, even when you've taken all the precautions to not scratch it? Now you want me to store gigabytes worth of data on a tiny chip that I can lose at a whim? USB flash drives are excellent because the electronics are protected with a case and the size is big enough to for easy handling. I hated that my 3D printer uses a tiny SD card that I have to plug/unplug every time i want to update a model. I downloaded raspbian on an SD card and never took it out of my raspi due to fear of losing it. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Comment They were forced to create those accounts (Score 1) 30

A friend of mine who isn't computer illiterate once told me he wanted to create a local windows account for his kids, but he couldn't because windows demanded he made a Microsoft account. It turns out you could, but the "button" to choose the account to be local is very well hidden. Even i couldn't see it at first. So people create these accounts because they felt forced to create them. They don't actually care about them so they choose not to secure them with 2FA.
