Anyways. First, no, Sonic could not sue the city. There is no contract, Sonic net was going to be providing the service free of charge to the city, if I remember correctly from the city council meeting I went to (The first one where they voted yes, unanimously). All the doubts seemed to be reasonably shut out at that meeting, I don't know why the subject was brought up again. In fact, it was suggested that Sonic providing coverage would actually reduce the necessary number of Wi-Fi AP's.
