FP or SSE! (Score 1)

The test is a 7900 GTX versus AMD & Intel systems both with Two dual-core CPUs; that's why the CPUs pricing is so high, as two Opteron or Xeon dual-core chips don't come cheap, although their pricing is out of date. I'm not clear on whether the test is comparing the FP units or the SSE units against the 7900! It's gotta be the SSE performance right? Someone was wondering why all this raw GPU power couldn't be used for video encoding etc; well ATI has released software that allows their recent GPUs to be used to accelerate video transcoding. About time there was a mainstream use for all this silicon.
