Yes, I agree. I buy better faster hardware so that I may run code faster. NOT so I can run more bloated code. One of the reasons I was attracted to Linux [in the first place] was that I was tired of m$ doing thi svery thing!
Try FLTK. It codes fast, it loads fast, it runs fast, and it has a very small footprint.
