... was the Newton OS. While it was still rather metaphor-laden (it *was* produced by Apple), the Assist button provided a command-line/text-adventure-game-like interface.
For example, you could write in something like "send fax to dad," tap the Do button and it would open the telecomm program and take care of all that for you (sometimes). The things it actually understood were limited, but it was a paradigm shift in the right direction.
While the Find feature worked on a similar level, it couldn't deal with a concept like "find my last letter to Laura," which would be something that an ideal anti-Mac interface should be able to understand, IMHO.
