The cell phone companies and the carriers are light years ahead of all of us. They are going to maximize thru put and devices all while reaping in astronomical profits. I have been saying for years that paying for data instead of a connection is the worst deal imaginable. Unfortunately most consumers do not understand they re totally being ripped off. When I was using a 4g modem (basically a permanent home based hot spot) to get internet from Clear.com I paid $50 dollars a month unlimited. I had up to eight connections. Typically had three connections active. Not being a gamer or mega user of any sort, my typical consumption was approximately 80 to 160 GB a month. Not a single problem for the 3 years I used the service. Sprint bought out the company and shut them down.Try getting that much bandwidth tethering your laptop to your cell phone for only $50 a month.

So some code supposedly created in Russia somewhere, is found on a computer. This is news? It sounds like some kid fooled someone into giving up a password and injected some code freely available to anyone who wanted to obtain such code. Russian (criminal) hackers like their counterparts in other countries sell their wares for the right price. A lot of malicious code is freely available and or well documented on forums all over the net. It is just as likely some kid in a basement in Minneapolis is responsible for this, let alone the Russian government. I have speculated myself that a lot of this code is diseminated by the very companies that sell the anti-virus/malware designed to protect against these things. The Russians my ass.

Two thoughts occurred to me.What about the so called concern about GMO's. Certainly most if not all of the new planting will be GMO. Secondly the decline in our bee population has been linked to insecticides. The use in insecticides will increase. I have wondered for some time about insect resistant strains of plants including GMO's also contributing to this decline. It seems to me the decline in bee populations started about the same time as the ethanol requirements started in the same places were corn was replacing other crops. I am not a researcher. just going on recollections just some thoughts. Note; I have nothing personally against GMO's in general..
