What drives this (and Moore's law too) (Score 1)

Why does our civilization want more, More, and MORE? Why is Moore's law? Why do we exceed the human parameters of perception and sense? In this light, it seems that nanotechnology will fill the bill. But at what point will we cross the line and lose our humanity. So much of our culture and diversity has been lost and homogenized. Perhaps nanotechnology will allow us to live in this ever accelerating and compressed world but derive some pleasure and reassurance .
