Comment Why Doom instead of Wolfwenstein? (Score 2, Insightful) 577
To me, Doom was just the next iteration of Wolfenstein. Wolfenstein started the whole violent, popular fps id thing.
Research is to see what everybody else has seen, and think what nobody else has thought.
