Organizations require structure, and moreso as they grow. I can't say, though, that I look forward to the time when the OSS community becomes bureaucratic. It will happen and QA systems are sign posts of its happening. Pride in your work as a method of quality assurance will not disappear, but this method resembles the system used for goods produced by craftsmen (women). Remember that the internet began as a beautiful thing; the beauty remains, but reduced by many warts and blemishes.
