In Afghanistan right now, had to say this poll made me smile this morning. Of course if you read all the comments the usual snarky slashdoters opinions makes all of us seem like baby killers and love to rape and pillage. I do have to say the best experience has been interacting with the Afghan kids, they are some crazy little bastards, but most are smart as hell. Had some BS experiences lost some good friends, and I think it has been almost 2 months without a real shower. Like some others who have posted above, the brotherhood amongst us is amazing, nothing like knowing most of the guys around you have your back and would do anything for you. Of course with any organization you have your bad apples but with good leadership they stay in line for the most part. I wouldn’t trade my experiences, the good, the bad and the ugly, for anything. Most of you will probably never have to experience military life, and hopefully never have to go through combat, but don’t throw the military under the collective bus for the crimes of a few.

I sat here for the last hour trying to think of any really good things Obama has done that deserves this prize and I think I've got it. He helped to deflate that pesky US dollar, I mean who even uses those anymore, no wonder why OPEC is asking for oil to be bought with something else I mean even the Canadian dollar is worth more now days. Plus it helps the committee's Euro look better.

I wonder if it will be able to measure its owe carbon dioxide from its launch...
