After 15 years and 3 months I retired my 2008 HP desktop last year. It shipped with Vista and while I dual booted it with Ubuntu and hadn't logged into Vista in years I just had to login one last time before I got rid of it. I ended up rebuilding the PC but used the same case and DVD drive from the original desktop. So in a way part of it lives on.
