well the chances are somewhat slim, but not entirely impossible that i've met the blogger of said artwork a few years back on irc ;) no he wouldn't know me, even if that were the case, but there is a possiblity.

Then again we all have but six degrees of seperation. The theory is that everyone no matter how well connected or how poorly connected is less than six 'friend of a friends' away from anyone else. Consider if you will Me and the friend dick cheney shot. I know erica, erica knows people at google (i don't know if she knows the top people or not, so bear with me worst case this takes 2 degrees of seperation), the top people at google know bill gates(they might also know the president), bill gates knows the president, and likely the VP(so 1 or 2 degrees), and cheney knows the guy he shot. That's anywhere from 4 to 7 degrees of seperation, and that may well be one of the longer paths. it's entirely concievable that my dad directly knows people who directly know the president or the vice president (he is a banker, and he does his best to lure customers especially in the multi million dollar depositor/ or borrower departments) which would be a mere 4 degrees of seperation, between me and the guy dick cheney shot.

Admittedly the 6 degrees of seperation theory doesn't hold up as well if you only consider people who consider each other friends mutually, but hey, We are a social animal, so it's no surprize that anyone can be reached in 6 hops or less taking the 'shortest' route
  • That one has been making the rounds for a long, LONG time (and I mean grainy photocopies long before this newfangled Intarweb thing!).

At the source of every error which is blamed on the computer you will find at least two human errors, including the error of blaming it on the computer.
