silent_rock's Journal: goodbye Costco (I wish)

Made possibly the last trip to Costco ever with 273K (cardholder) and loopy (car-owner, expired cardholder) for dept alcohol. This time, we chose the red wine by a combination of rating, price and name. (If it contained any rock-related word like "stone" or "peak", it went straight onto our cart.)

Reading Earth Tides can trigger shallow thrust fault earthquakes for presentation tomorrow (Basically a stats paper, as far as I can tell. Bleh.) and must grade a couple Project 2s before tomorrow.

Met with engineers today at RFS and they talked in engineer-speak and it made me zone out. But they had a certain engineers' charm about them.

Engineers have charm?!?!

actually, schmooly, i don't consider software engineers in the same category as civ and mech engineers (who i was referring to). however, i do consider software engineers to have a lot more geeky charm.
