Journal silent_rock's Journal: fat book of icy bombs for the booby public 2

I finally finished Dharma Bums by Kerouac! It delivered on some nice quotes and also on talk of hiking and mountains in California and Washington, so it was quite an enjoyable experience.

The night of the big party came. I could practically hear the hubbubs of preparation going on down the hill and felt depressed. "Oh my God, sociability is just a big smile and a big smile is nothing but teeth, I wish I could just stay up here and rest and be kind." But somebody brought up some wine and that started me off.

Then I suddenly had the most tremendous feeling of the pitifulness of human beings, whatever they were, their faces, pained mouths, personalities, attempts to be gay, little petulances, feelings of loss, their dull and empty witticisms so soon forgotten: Ah, for what. I knew that the sound of silence was everywhere and therefore everything everywhere was silence. Suppose we suddenly wake up and see that what we thought to be this and that, ain't this and that at all?

We'll write poems...we'll poetize the lot and make a fat book of icy bombs for the booby public.

this morning i was printing out a paper for K on Jess's printer. I clicked on print to "default printer" instead of to Jess's printer. A one page report for Developmental Psychology about the appropriateness of the Sesame Street webpage was beamed wirelessly to our group geomorph printer at school. I chose to analyze an interactive Sesame Street flash animation that can be found at http://pbskids.org/sesame/letter/l.html. ...this game is appropriate because the female voice resembles mothers; it is repetitious and high-pitched. Was that supposed to be funny? My mom is all about being repetitious and (extremely) high pitched (to the point of freneticism).

Time to check the bi-monthly comic. WHAT? Schmooly KICKS a ROCK? Hmpf!!!

My parents told me to buy a stupid car already.
